Since the second half of the nineteenth century the feast of Sant Roc include sessions of traditional Catalan puppets. From that time the most prestigious were those of the puppeteer Juli Pi. Juli Pi donated one of his puppets with the inscription Plaça Nova to the Feast Committee .

This theatre would be the same one used for the feast until the fifties of the last century. Other prominent puppeteers have performed throughout the twentieth century: Jaume Anglès, Miquel Casals, Joan Flotats, Taylor or the family of puppeteers Vergés, among others. Currently the session of traditional Catalan puppets is held on the afternoon of the day of Sant Roc or on the evening of the last day of the feast.
